Halloween Miniature Dollhouse Tour with Stan Gregg | Doll Shop Blog

Happy October! Yesterday was one of my favorite days of this year in the doll shop. We filmed our ‘Haunted Miniature Home Tour’ with Colorado artisan and friend of the shop, Stan Gregg. We decided to go ‘all-out’ and dress up in costumes. Stan dressed in a Steampunk look and was SO HANDSOME. Check him out! (And those blue eyes are natural!)

I needed a costume and FAST because we decided to dress up just the night before. I happened to have a cute skeleton jumpsuit with matching gloves. I looked up skull makeup tutorials on YouTube and found a wig at the thrift store by the shop. My makeup looked nothing like the fabulous tutorial lady, BUT I could do this right in the doll shop bathroom with just the products I had at the shop, so I was pretty proud of myself.

Stan and I snapped a couple of fun photos, and then we jumped into action on camera to share his recent creations. It was a blast from start to finish, and Stan is so giving in his time and ideas. I hope the video is inspirational to you. Stan creates all of his houses from his inspiration. There is so much you can do at home with a printer and some basic craft materials. Stan gave some of his ideas on how to create houses in this video in his studio last year. Check it out on YouTube!

Here’s our video with Stan - you will love each and every house. It is hard to pick a favorite but mine is the Halloween House.

There are a couple of spots on our video when the camera was trying to focus so it is a little blurry for a second but overall, we think this video is a blast from start to finish. Erik did the camera work, and it was a treat not to hold the camera myself. Stanley made the INCREDIBLE spider hand that grabs me in the end. Here’s a shot of the hand, can you believe this creation?

I wore the makeup for the rest of the day, and none of the delivery people that came in the shop even flinched. Isn’t October such a fun month?!

We added the dollhouses in the video to our shop website, along with some free crafty Halloween downloads that are available for you right now. Here’s a special one just for our blog readers - a COFFIN shaped box with two top and bottom options.

Be sure to follow Stan Gregg on his website, and you can already look forward to another video from us with Holiday houses. Stan is busily creating in his studio right now.
