We Love the Doll Shop and We Love You!

Our update this week is nothing more than to share with you that we love it here and that we are staying as long as we can. You may have seen the below update on Rachel’s Facebook page about the pressure to sell to shop owners along Broadway in Colorado We want you to know how much we love our job, appreciate you as customers, and look forward to so much adventure with you in dolls in the coming years. We are always staying busy and posted some new videos this week where we show you our tips and ways for cleaning bisque doll heads and clothing. Click the videos at the bottom of this blog and you can watch them on YouTube.

Happy Valentine’s Day from Rachel and the whole doll shop crew!

The real estate market is booming in Colorado.

Prices are soaring, and every week, I receive a call asking to purchase my shop. But they don’t want the shop. They want the land to build condos on South Broadway. I received a call yesterday, in fact. A shop up the block sold for a smashing record price to a new developer. Property taxes are also at an all-time high.

My answer is always the same: My Mom left me this place so I could have a happy future. I love my job, and I just replaced the roof and renovated the inside and outside to continue working here.

Prices will fluctuate, and it doesn’t matter because it’s not for sale.

And you know what, that feels so good. I’m going to have to work so hard to stay here but to know deep in my bones, to believe that this is what I want to do, is something I am grateful for.

So grateful that I have tears in my eyes as I write this. I don’t know what will happen in the future, nobody does, but for now, I’m staying. My heart is staying. And I’m mostly just grateful that I feel the need to stay.

Thank you for loving this place, loving the people inside, and buying our products when you can. We love you so much, and then some.
